Thought I'd better introduce myself before I start posting around the boards. I'm a long time stay at home mom. The kids have grown up and moved away, and we've just recently moved ourselves, and I'm thinking about getting a job if I can find one in this not-so-lovely economy.
In the meantime, I putter around the house, settling in, painting and redecorating, and planning my garden.
I'm a Methodist, not a Baptist, so I know I can't post in some of your sections. I'm glad you allow non-Baptists to read some of those sections, though. I've been getting into my dad's family genealogy lately, and I found myself wanting to know more about Baptist beliefs; my father's mother was Baptist, although I don't know what kind of Baptist she was. I just remember going to her church with her when I was small, a tiny old country church in the mountains, and feeling very welcome there. But my mom is Methodist, and because my father wasn't a churchgoing man, she always took me and my brother to her church, so that's how I ended up being Methodist.
Anyway, I'm just here to learn. Looking forward to meeting you all and chatting. :wavey:
