Hello DOTW,

A great BIG welcome to the BB from the great state of Illinois!

Come on down to the COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE in "All Other Discussions", where as Christians, we are all on common ground...

It is a great place to kick back, relax, and get to know each other. And we have FREE food and beverages!

Blessings,
§ue :)

Welcome from Heavenly Oklahoma. Remember, in Oklahoma, calls to Heaven are all LOCAL CALLS. Especially those calls from Pioneer Phone Co phones :)

On 24 August 1963 I married a girl at Fox Baptist Church. She lived in Fox, Oklahoma (4 mi west of Graham, 6 miles south of Ratliff, OK). Her Mother was the Post-Mistress at the Fox Post Office (one part time helper). That Post office I guess is now closed.

And here is a little known fact: All Map makers, to keep their copyrights intact, make a known error on each of the state maps. One company shows Pruitt City NORTH of Fox. But Pruitt City is one mile south of Fox (well maybe only half a mile, but it is hard to know where the Pruitt City post office was, cause I've never seen it).

My Dad used to go to school in Graham, he lived in Clemscott. (Clemscott is west of Graham, about halfway to Fox). He would have been in the 2ed grade in the 1927-1928 school year. According to Dad, his school (Graham) was three miles across the hill which he had to walk barefoot - it was uphill both ways! The map shows it is only 1.5 miles between the two points, but it made a good story.

It's a small world.

Saggy, I graduated high school from Kingston.

Doer & Ed, I dated a girl from Graham (back before I got saved). Her dad was the principal (this was over 20 years ago, so I don't know if he's still there or not).

My wife's grandmother lives in Durant, and that's in my top 3 of locations to retire to.
