"Clinton didn't seem angry or betrayed or entitled or any of the things that critics have attributed to her—she seemed merely unenthused, and so did the audience."

Hillary Goes Out With a Whimper

When she first campaigned for a New York Senate seat, Hillary Clinton earned the nickname "The Laundry Lady." Last night's speech was a reminder why. Clinton didn't come close to injecting the shot of energy that the Democratic convention desperately needs, but neither did she do anything to damage Obama's campaign. Instead, she wrapped up her historic candidacy with a whimper—an understated, buzzword-laden speech that held about as much passion as a Wednesday night city council meeting.

Clinton didn't seem angry or betrayed or entitled or any of the things that critics have attributed to her—she seemed merely unenthused, and so did the audience, his crowd and hers. Two minutes after she left the stage someone could have shouted across the arena and been heard on the other side.

I disagree with his analysis.

Hillary will be back in 2012. She laid the ground work in the video and her speech last night. Perhaps she was promised the position of Secretary of State in the Obama administration if she would cooperate. I don't think she went out with a whimper and the crowds brought more of a positive response for her than they did for MO. They acted like Hillary was a rock star.

Actually, it seems kinda sad. The DNC is settling for a loser in BHO. He may have won the nomination, but he is still a loser, IMO, 1.65 million dollar mansion and all.

If anyone is a loser it is JSM III. The only thing he is touting as a qualification for being president is being a prisoner of war. That ain't one.

Did the writer of this actually watch this speech? Unenthused would be the last way I would characterize Hillary or the audience, who were on their feet for most of the speech.

Totally agreed, BB. I wondered the same thing.
