My lovely bride of 10 years just brought my Christmas present to the hospital. A brand new mini-laptop. And between the staff here at the hospital and the pdf files on the computer we have internet. Never hurts to read directions. And I want to tell all how wonderful the one true and living GOD has been to me not just this day or season, but thru this life. I have been blessed above measure. Not with accent just on the physical but in all things we cherish to abound and abase, and to be content where we find ourselves this day. How sweet his precious WORD!

I opened scripture the other afternoon to II Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. That is truely sweet to an ole reprobate sinner like me.

For almost four years we have been facing trying circumstances. Lung cancer, inoperable. The results of treatment have been good to inconsistent. Was having a catscan the other day when we found out that the cancer in the center of my chest has blocked the blood flow from my upper body into my heart. Medically they would say complete occlusion of the superior veinacava. So, I've been on steriods, IV's, chemo and radiation trying to unblock this thingy and restore some symbalance of normalacy. Monday after the holiday they will put a stent in to hold it open. Doing what research I can online looks like they are believing this will give me three years. Which is what they gave me four years ago when I was first diagnosed. None of it would mean a thing without the Word of God as my comfort and shield.

Every word of GOD is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him!!!!!!! AMEM, AND AMEN!!!!!!!

The following is on the bulletin board just ourside my room here.... wanted to share!

I asked God for strength....... He gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked God for Wisdom.....He gave me problems to solve.

I asked God for prosperity.....He gave me brains and brawn to work.

I asked God for courage..... He gave me danger to overcome.

I asked God for love...... He gave me troubled people to help.

I asked God for favors...... He gave me opportunities.

I recieved nothing I wanted..... I recieved everything I needed..

    in Christ Jesus...... TomMann

    P.S. Hug someone special today!

Tom, to be a child of the King is the most marvelous thing, as you have reminded me of again. You remain in my prayers.

    Merry Christmas,
    Bitsy

Good words Tom. And whether it's for 3 years or 30, the Lord be with you.

Got seen and worked on today. Will spend the night in I.C.U. and finish up in the morning. They seem to be working on disolving a clot before finishing the stent. Resting well and looking forward to tommorrow's renewed mercies!!!!!!!!!!!

All went well today. No stent, flush and ballon cathater seems to have done the job. Putting in the stent would have required replacing my chemo port and tubing so if it becomes required it will be another day. Looking forward to getting out of ICU in the very near, near future and back to my room for the night.Should get discharged tommorrow! Yea! Praise God!!!!
