at Wakefield High School.

Just what is this guy up to? I am interested, so I am listening. I will be signing off in order to hear his message. It may be a great thing, or, it may be like Hitler and his youth. Time, and message will tell.

I'm thankful for the parents that were cautious and held their children back until they heard what his majesty had to say!.

Bye for now.

After reading his speech yesterday, I considered it a good speech.

But I wonder.. how much had to be changed between the time the controversial lesson plans came out last week, and yesterday when he posted the speech.

We will never know.

But I have to say, I have no problems with my sons hearing the speech the way it is now.

I will always defend a person's right to disagree with a POTUS (I do it all the time myself). But comments like "his majesty" are, imo, disrespectful to the office. The office demands respect, even if one detests the person in it.

I was saying the same thing when GW Bush was POTUS, and will say the same for whomever follows BHO.

We know enough to know that Obama got caught in a fascist style attempt to indoctrinate our children, and had to change his plans dramatically.

Actually, "we" know nothing of the kind. This is all in your feverish imagination.

I highly suspect you are right.. hence the change in lesson plans...

Yes, some of the lesson plan questions changed from when it was first published.

The ONE thing that I didn't like about the speech was the idea of "if you fail, you fail the country" thinking. It's a bit socialist, IMO.

I'm going to let my children watch it tonight with my husband and myself and we're going to frame it in the "do all for the glory of God". Do your best to bring glory to God. Do your best so that you will be in the best position to serve God in what He wants you to do. Not to make the country successful but to make God's name great.

Otherwise it was a good speech.

bolded mine

Unfortunately this seems to be a goal that is, AT BEST, not one of a primary concern for many!
