Joseph said to his brothers that God used their evil actions for good.

Is it possible that throughout history, God has specifically raised up the evil person into power, that His purpose be fulfilled.

    For instance:

Hitler was evil - no doubt.

But, was Hitler actually a servant of the purposes of God?

I don't know if "servant" of the purposes of God is appropriate, but I believe it biblical that God places and ordains governments and powers for His own purpose.

God called Nebuchadnezzar "my servant" (Jer. 27).

Did God ordain the brothers to sell Joseph into slavery - or did God simply bless Joseph in spite of the circumstances?

Corrie Ten Boom would never have become well know, had it not been for Hitler - but Did God ordain Hitler to kill Jews just so that Ten Boom would become famous?
