Ooh! What a fun holiday, sounds like!

I'm planning three trips - one to the Grand Teton in Wyoming, one to the North Carolina shore, and another to the UK. A friend will be in school in London, so we're thinking I'll hop over for a week or ten days, do London and Manchester, then get on to Amsterdam and visit with friends for a few days.

I may also get back to Italy, but that's not being actively planned. That's just a "maybe."

Paula and I will be honeymooning in Gorst after our wedding this August, and we'll probably go to NOREK (the Northwest Regional Esperanto Conference) in Sidney, BC, in September. We're poor in the traveling budgets of this world, can't go very far.

Saw some of my Amish friends go through the job this morning all dressed up. I asked them if there was a wedding - answer - no.

Today is a holiday - its Ascension Day. After chores were all done - they went visiting.

The Amish only have church every other Sunday. On the off Sundays - they either go to another church district and worship - or they go visiting family or friends.

Except for skipping church every other week - I like their visiting idea.

Did a vacation in 2003 with the bride with a cruise to South America.

But have "vacation" (don't know what else to call it, but sure wonder) to:
Son Josh in Michigan in August (grandbaby #5)
Daughter Lyssa in Wisconsin in October (grandbaby #6)
Son Jeremiah in Buffalo in December (grandbaby #7)

    Sounds like "labor", not vacation.

Visiting Vancouver, BC this year. Has anyone ever visited this city? We saw the gardens a few years ago, but not much else. Any ideas would be welcomed!

We will be staying with our friends in Wales at some point during the summer and also having two of the grandchildren for a week. We also hope to fit in a trip to Greece, but that is just a maybe at the moment. [IMG]

I would love to go to the Gospel Music Convention in Louisville, KY in September, hubby has a vacation the week it's going on, and we're talking about going. There's also going to be a Grand Ole Gospel Reunion in Greenville, SC in August, that a friend of mine and I might go to. There will be a lot of the older groups at this one, and they will be singing mostly the traditional gospel music...now that's my idea of a great get-away!

Oh, almost forgot..my friend's sister is coming over from Tennessee to spend September and October with her, and the three of us are planning a road trip through New England in October to see the leaves. That should be a good trip, too.
