Holocaust Formula

  1. Holocaust Formula

This father of Protestantism and its little houses of bondage, wrote in his book "DIE JUDEN UND IHREN LUEGEN" (The Jews and Their Lies): "First, . . . set fire to their synagogues or schools and . . . bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians . . .. [It would be good if someone could also throw in some] hellfire."

We all have feet of clay regardless of how much God uses us in His plan for His people.

If I recall correctly, years and years after the church was established the Jewish Christians still had prejudices against Gentiles.

Also, we have gotten into a really bad habit in the past 20 years of wanting to judge people and their actions and writings from hundreds and hundreds of years ago by modern day standards. The fact is that if we had lived when they did we would have had the same difficulties in certain areas that they did.

And I am glad we have made progress. But that is no reason to slam the great men and women of the past because they didn't live up to our modern understanding of things.

Remember, 500 years from now people may be writing about our times and wondering how we could do or write certain things.

Isn't it wonderful how no matter what men try to say , we don't have to rely on men to know truth? It's of God, told to us in his word and in our hearts, and no man can ever destroy that. A person with his own mind who can think for himself will not look to man or man's words to define whether a faith is true or false, he'll simply look to God. [IMG]
