Honesty Test

Honesty is needed here.

When someone does something to you at work or on the road etc.

What is your very First reaction .

1 Anger, then you remember you are a son of God, and forgive them, and just grin and bear it.

2 Love. You forgive that instant.

3. You just want to get even no matter how long it takes.

I think mostly, I tend to go for #1. It irks me for sure, but then I usually realize that it isnt worth it.

When on the road, I try to remember that I am not a perfect driver either, and maybe there was some circumstance to cause them to cut me off or something of that nature.

Every now and again, I have been known to speak up about something, and not always politely, which is bad, but its not usually that it was directed to me. I saw a customer yelling at a cashier once for forgetting to give him his juice. He hadnt even made it out of the store when he realized that he didnt have it, so he went back for it. Most normal people would have said "oops" and gone on with life, but this guy needed to raise a stink. When he was done stomping his feet and whining, I looked at him and said.."I seriously thought that you were kidding for making such a big deal out of such a stupid mishap." and then I shook my head at him and went on my way. I was dumbfounded that somebody could act like that.

Not my best christian moment. Im not too proud of it, BUT on the other hand, I felt so badly for that poor cashier.

Great reminder question of what we are "supposed to do," but as to what actually happens is sometimes I allow God to respond through me and sometimes I let Jason react.

It really depends on what the action is. But it is my prayer that I will continue to grow in that I will more and more die to self and let God respond in me and through me!

Probably more number one, except I don't always remember I'm a son of God and forgive them. I rarely just grin and bear it, though. We are to be meek, not weak

I try my best for number 1 at all times. I'm sure I slip on occasion, but then God corrects me. I tend to be a very patient driver...no need to be in a hurry...no need to get mad.

I'm more of a number 1. Some days, I'm 2, but most days 1.

Me too.

When another driver gets impatient and honks at me to hurry or get out of the way, I usually just smile and wave at them.

I can see them backing off and wondering if I'm someone they know.

Scriptural advice:

Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.

Most days I am a #1 fellow. Sometimes I am a #2 guy. But LAST night, driving home from my girlfriend's place (2 hr drive) a certain truck driver nearly killed me playing cat and mouse. I had to go 90 mph @ 2a.m. on the freeway to get out of his way! There was lots of construction in that section and the freeway had been reduced to one lane. He nearly ran me down! At that moment I was definitely a #3 guy! But this morning I am returning to a #1 fellow.

OH Jim! I'm glad you survived to tell us about it!

I had that happen once on the way from Houston to Little Rock and it was late. Scary, scary!

I don't think I fit in any of those categories. The only time I get annoyed with other drivers is if I'm already really stressed about other things. I can't imagine caring enough to try to get "revenge" or anything.
