Yep. Horse meat is a valid protein source and I'd eat it if it is what I had available to eat. And I couldn't love horses more, going so far as to heat up Whirl's food in the winter to make it nice and cozy to eat for him! LOL

She's fattening him up.:tongue3:

That would take too much money. He's what we call a "hard keeper". His feed bill is more than what I would pay for prime beef! :) He's just fun to have around.

No way!! "Horse farts" don't really smell that bad but they are quite obvious because they ALWAYS seem to do it when you pick up a back leg. It's quite humorous, actually.

Whirly boy gets 25 lbs. hay, 9 pounds grain, 2 pounds beet pulp and a carrot and apple to top it all off! That's split into two feeds.

I had lasagne and then for dessert Goosberry Foal. Don't worry, I'm in a stable condition.

I'll get my coat....

It has come to my attention that the lasagna contained no more than 25% horse meat. They can now advertise it as Quarter Horse Lasagna.

This is another good example of lack of accountability in high places. Nothing new--the world is corrupted. We have done a remarkable job of polluting the planet--food, air and water. Check out the food which is bought from China--a company in Florida is supplying tons of garlic bulbs grown in China--sold in your favorite big box grocer from Arkansas. Some Chinese food even has an organic label.

I recall buying horsemeat with an Alpo label. Our dogs did well on it.

Lookout for veggies grown in radioactive air, soil and water.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Using steroids for performance is not a new phenomenon, Viagra notwithstanding.

The cows on grass get a dose of something to make them weigh more before they are sold. The grain fed cows just get more weight enhancers especially before they are sold. There is no profit in a lean cow. Most consumers want the fat anyway. The above is the opinion of someone who is a grain fed cow producer.

I still pay $13/# for prairie beef. I think it tastes better. I also like bison burger better than beef. It is only $9/#.

I wonder what happened to Trigger's carcass? You know Roy Roger's famous equine?

We will not have to deal with this in the New Heaven and New Earth.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.
