First, if you're in agreement with Hovind about the TR/MT then you're not gonna like the NIV, NLT or a couple hundred other versions based on eclectic Greek texts. At least Hovind admitted that the translation effort was good (the problem, as he saw it, was that it was applied to the wrong underlying text).DJ N'LyTe said:... The point I was trying to make is that the NIV and NLV are horrible translations.
I know the 16 verses that are in question; I've studied them all individually. When you look at them, you'll notice that the vast majority of them are not crucial to any doctrine, or even to the immediate passage. I have personally concluded that more than half of them were clearly additions to the late Greek manuscripts that were used in the development of the TR. Some scholars would say that all 16 are interpolations, but I think that at least one or two of them probably are orignial.DJ N'LyTe said:...Ill have the list of missing verses in the NIV later on this week for You...

Ed Edwards said:// ... KJV isnt perfect but its the best version
we have, its the only one without a copyright ... //
The KJV is copyrighted by the Crown of England
(currently Queen Elizabeth). She gets some money
for every legal sale of a KJV Bible.
Recall though that one of the reasons the USofA
rebelled against the Crown of England (in 1776 it was
King George the III - he got a pound sterling for each
KJV sold back then) This was one of the unfair
taxes -- It was about a months wages went
to the Crown of England to read their Bible.
Needless to say, the favorite Bible of the rebels
was the Geneva Bible or else the Bishops Bible
NOT the King James Bibles (KJVs)
Needless to say, the rebels didn't pay their taxes.
Fast forward to 2007 - liars spread the untruth
that the KJV has no copyright.
So I ain't going to give no honor to any King
Save my King: Messiah Jesus.
