How are you as Believers, handling this COVID-19 thing?

I realize that every facet of our life, has seemingly been turned upside down and inside out with all of the restrictions and need to cancel gathering together in order to slow down and possibly avoid passing this virus unto others as well as protecting oneself from contacting this virus and its scary complications.

So, I was wondering if you as individuals. Parents. Spouses. Employees. Pastors. Etc. would maybe take a minute and tell the rest of us how you and your family, friends and fellowship of believers are handling the required separation and social distancing from one another while we wait out the harbinger of the Coronavirus to run its course and permit America to return to the America we once knew and enjoyed prior to having our freedoms ripped out from under our feet as a rug being yanked away with begrudging force? How are you dealing with trying to put food on the family table, when grocery store shelves remain picked over and sparse?

Do you believe America will come out from under this forced social separation better off for the experience, or will we find new paths and directions to travel following this forced shutdown being lifted and removed?

I would love your honest opinions and thoughts. Thanks a head of time for sharing your heartfelt, innermost thoughts.

My church has online services during this time, and I have received calls from staff members asking if my wife and I needed anything.

My work place hasn't shut down yet, and the ship yards are still hard at it in this area. I think that during this time if we are stuck at home for an extended period of time, tending to things like cutting the grass, mopping floors, scrubbing fixtures, washing windows, and maintaining the laundry will help keep our minds focused in a productive way. Just moping and letting things fall apart promotes depression.

The traffic is all most non existent, hardly any cars on the road, and the neighborhood is so quite you can hear a pin drop. even the brown cloud has disappeared. The air seems fresh. My neighbors have been concerned for me and my wife I suppose because to them we are older .I've missed church for the last two Sundays and I'm not to happy about that. However I've been able to acquire the things we need, Praise God. and I really like the price of gas

A lot of people are so worried about catching this virus. I can only say why worry about it , If I get sick with it and die it will be a blessing. Being with my Lord and master is all I could ever hope for. It's not the end of the world. In my humbled opinion the best we can do is to praise God for all the things we've had and will have. God is still blessing those who worship Him

This is the easiest natural disaster I have ever dealt with. I am on social security disability, so I will not lose income. In fact, the government of Florida is thinking of giving more money to us for at least two months. Something needed with the way grocery shopping works now, which is go in person (difficult for me since I can't drive) and buy what is left over.

I live in Central Florida, which has been hammered by many hurricanes in the last 16 years. I don't want to eat my words, but the 2004 hurricane season was way worse than this. Three direct hits by powerful hurricanes in one year.

That said, I really, really miss going to church, talking with my friends there, and being in person for the singles ministry. I am going stir crazy out of boredom and a general sense of sadness for others. This is a time to mourn for most people, and I want to mourn with them.

My wife 75 and I, 74, are homebodies anyway, and when we do get out we go and if we can't, we don't... The Lord takes care of his own!... When this started, our next door Christian neighbor, with a family of his own, came to our door and observing social distancing, rang our doorbell and ask us if we needed anything... He brings us what we need once a week, and we are surviving fine... My wife has so many projects, and of course her devotions and she is never idle, unless she wants to be... Me!... Just before all this came about, I ordered An Exposition Of Hebrews by Arthur W. Pink, which is only 784 pages, very in depth study, this will keep me busy... While everyone is worried about the little (c)... The virus, I'm doing an in depth study on the Big C... Christ!... Brother Glen
