The beaches are opening...
Florida beaches open: A list of reopens, restrictions, hours

The stores and restuarants are opening...
Omaha restaurants pleased they can open back up

Kendra Scott, Allens Boots among Texas stores reopening Friday with retail to-go

The offices are planning their opening back up and getting business running..
How the biggest companies in the world are preparing to bring back their workforce

The states are opening back up....
These Are the States Opening Back Up for Business

So what do we need to set up so we can eat, work, play, and socialize at a normal level, even if a new normal?

Former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, who worked for W Bush and who is now President of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, had to remind Hoosiers of the economic damage. Apparently, Governor Eric Holcomb was at the Country Club and could not be bothered to govern.

What new mormal
I think things like social distancing and people looking you as if you were Satan if you have allergies.

Restaurants and bowling allies are opening here. But they have people spaced out more and are cleaning better.

If a clean table is the new normal I'm down with that !!!!

Well, our wonder Governor is treating New York State as thoug it is NY City.

Here are the latest Stats:
..................................% of State Population.........Confirmed cases...............recovered................Deaths

New York City.........43.........................................158,258 (55%)......................18,018 (41%)........12,067 (71%)
Adjacent/NYC*.......13......................................... 72,718 (25%)........................9,371 (24%)..........2,986 (18)
Upstate...................54..........................................57,069 (20%)......................15,236 (35%)...........1,913 (11)

* Nassau, Rockland, Westchester
Note: Erie county (Buffalo) had 479 deaths (25 % of Upstate)

29 Counties had 1-9 deaths
7 counties had zero deaths
10 counties had 11-25 deaths
5 counties = NY City
4 Counties = adjacant + Erie (Buffalo)
7 counties had 26 + deaths

62 total counties

These are the Stats as of 27 Apr 20

What are your conclusions?

I think our consciousness (as a whole) will not go back to normal. I had a conversation today with my mother and she mentioned that she would most likely not recover should she get COVID-19. There is going to be a type of fear, I think, with a lot of people just like there is of travel with some.

Post-911 became a new normal. It has been 20 years and I think it fair to say that what was normal in terms of travel and terrorism prior to that date is gone. It is normal now. But in comparison, we never would have thought we would have been prohibited from going to the terminal to meet family, or that we would be subject to the security procedures we face now just to enter a court house. Prior to school shootings I do not know that people expected police officers to be present in our schools.

But I do not know. This is just a guess. I hope 10 years from now my waitress will consider it normal for me to have a clean table. :)

I would look at how the schools do in the fall, that will be a good indicator of how it will affect us going forward, as those studying to be future teachers, doctors and nurses need a lot of hands on training.

When will churches be opened up and do we need to practice 6 feet between us on pews?

we don't. if the doomsayers are correct and we can catch covid19 more than once then we are indeed doomed to a greater wave in the future (predicted for September 2020) which will BE FAR WORSE THAN MARCH-APRIL.

Bill Gates says that we should stay on lockdown for the next two years. He knows a lot about viruses.

I think it will be more on the side of the 1918 Flu Pandemic which didnt come back after that. Whats strange is they have dug up people from the permafrost in Alaska from those who died from that flu, and tried to find out what made it so deadly, but no real answers..

IMHO, the biggest factor re: "normal", is how much we allow the Ds to make these important decisions!!
I'm sure this is one "CRISIS THAT WILL NOT GO TO WASTE" if they ever get power again!!!!!
Keep "NORMAL" in your thoughts as you vote this November, not only for POTUS, but congress critters as well!!
