The results said I was in four years - I had well more than twice that amount!

Nope. It guessed 4 years. I was in for 23 years.

Probably would be better to guess how long you've been out of the military. :) I think if I had answered those questions a few years ago it would have been more accurate.

Some of the multiple choice questions did not have an accurate answer, but I still got:

Can We Guess How Long You Served in the Military?
    20 Years
Judging by your disciplined responses, we think that you may have spent 20 years or more in the military! Whether you spent your time as a full-time soldier or you served in the National Guard, your years of service have definitely come through! You have learned not believe in obstacles, and you never let anything get in your way!

Which is 10 years short of the actual number of years. But, of course, only 6 were active, the rest were Ready Reserve/ARNG.

Ok!... It got me 4 years... Actually a little longer reserve and all closer to 5 to 6.... If you are married you don't make the bed or iron your clothes, at least I don't... And what's this about whistling in the head or toilet?... As far as marksmanship is concerned, I could probably do damage if the target is standing in front of me... In shape?... Yeah, I'm in shape but round wasn't an option... Well Jon the only thing I can say in the words of Rodney Dangerfield is I Get No Respect.. But I do feel a sense of pride when see a military parade or watch a war picture... So how long were you in?... Too long!... Brother Glen:)

I get a sense of pride watching a military parade as well. It usually goes away when I imagine still being in and about how now I would need a maternity uniform. :(

I quit taking this quiz when I got to the Zombie Apocalypse question.

I served 20 years, 4 months. During that time, I never once worried about zombies. My husband served 22 years and he tells me that no zombies ever attacked him. That's probably because he made things that goes 'boom' in the night.

We both step out with our left foot.

I quite the test when it didn't list Coast Guard as a branch of the military.

There were plenty of zombies at my PP Base.

Monday AM after the weekend all day/all night drinkie-poo.

Which by the way I quit attending after The Lord got hold of me.

It said I spent 4 years on active duty and went back to civilian life...some of the questions I flubbed through, because as a believer, they didn't apply.

    Overall, partially correct.

I did 3.5 years active duty in Naval Aviation, most at NAS Miramar, San Diego. Separated and came home, spent a year on IRR, then affiliated with the Naval Reserves at NAS Glenview for another 6.5 years before submitting my chit and getting out in 1997. Then another 3 years IRR before contract officially ended in 2000.

Wow, long time to answer, I just saw this now.

I was saved by reading a bible and listening to a Wheeling West Virginia gospel radio station.

I had been raised Catholic and I went to the Catholic service at the chapel.

After several discussions over a year with the priest I left the Catholic Church.

Dave... San Diego is my old stomping ground... I was there for 57 years... Dad started a family there after the close of WWII... Did my boot at MCRD... From there went to Vietnam and returned... Joined the church I grew up in since the age of seven at the age of twenty-two and started on my journey walking with the Lord... I can look back on my life and say the Lord has surely been good and merciful to this unworthy one, who is now three score, ten and two... Brother Glen:)

    57 years...wow.

I bet it changed a lot over that time. Interstates going in, Poway, Miramar, Kearney Mesa, Mission Valley and all those places being developed, Balboa Hospital closed and the new Naval Hospital going up. If you haven't been there recently, I think it would surprise you. What am I saying? It's even changed a lot since I was there last...

I haven't seen it since '94, when I went out for my two weeks ADT at NAS North Island from NAS Glenview.:Laugh

Dave, I spent 35 years in San Diego. I pastored a church there for 27 years. About half our congregation was career military. Mostly Navy but a few Marines. Great place. :)
