How much do you know about Napoleon????

I know something about N. BONAPARTE. First, he was NOT really short; he was 5'7", fairly normal for Frenchmen at the time. He was small-boned, but not really puny, although he was a small boy. As a boy, he showed leadership and daring early. In a boarding school he was in, the headmaster had a pear tree which he made off-limits to the students.
One day, he told his roommates that he wanted some pears from that tree.They said, yes, they look good, but the headmaster watches over it & he's a keen whipper. Nap called them cowards, & said, "If you help me, I'll get us ALL some pears!" They agreed to help him, so that night, he knotted several bedsheets together(They were in a 2nd story dorm.) & secured one end to a post on a heavy bed, took a pillw case to put the pears in, & pushed off the window sill, with the sheet tied around his waist so he could land in the top of the tree. He filled the pillowcase with as many pears as he could carry & signalled for his roommates to pull him up, as he couldn't climb with his heavy load. AND THEY ALL HAD PEARS, being careful to dispose of the pits where the headmaster wouldn't find them. And Nap was smart to pluck the pears from the top of the tree so the heamaster wouldn't just look up from the ground & see where they'd been plucked. From then on, his roomies were his homeboys.
He continued his daring & intelligent ways & generous rewards to those who pleased him throughout his career. His biggest failure was not Waterloo, but his invasion of Russia. He failed to plan for the massive logistics needed to cover the vast distance from France that his army was.

 

What I know is he had an attitude because he was short.
