How Partial Preterism might join Calvinists and non calvinists

    Just throwing this out here. Its an idea I had even in my teens:

    The first generation of Christians,ie the apostles and the first generation church, were chosen.

    Think about it. God had to get things started, so He couldn't leave it to chance. So he elected the first generation to partake in the things that were "soon to pass" and see the new covenant.

    Election has nothing to do with us. It was about them. They were the first fruits. God elected them.
