    God will finish what he has begun, in all of those that are His. He does the keeping. He is the Good Shepherd. Those that are His shall never perish. Those that cannot grasp that fact live in insecurity.
    You cannot earn God's favor before salvation, you cannot earn it afterwards.

    This is a hard question to answer.
    I'm Absolutely 100% positive that The Doctrine
    of Eternal Security of the Believer THAT I
    RECEIVED FROM THE ELDERS is correct.

    However, i'm tempted to mark this:
    I don’t believe that the doctrine of eternal security is a true doctrine

    when i think about eternal security defined as easy
    believism. Sorry eternal security is NOT easy believism.
    Eternal Security cost the life of the only begotten son:
    Messiah Jesus.

    God does the drawing..."and I,if I be lifted up will draw ALL men unto myself.."God does the saving,God does the justifying,God does the sanctifying, and glory to our God and our Saviour Jesus Christ,God does the glorifying!!!He will finish the work in us that He begun to do.I'm awaiting the appearance of our Blessed Hope. But while I'm still in this vile, wicked flesh I have a lot of trouble and the Lord frequently has to whip me.O wretched man that I am...thank God for a pure, living sacrificial Lamb of God Who sits on the right hand of God and ever lives to make intercession for me.Without Him we'd ALL be lost and undone and without hope in this present world.O what a Saviour!

    The only way eternal security is not true is if my salvation is dependent on something that I have to do. If I have to do some action (aka work) to be saved, than I can lose it because anything I do will be errored in some way. But if God is sovereignly in control of my salvation every step of the way, than I am held and persevered to the end by His grace.

    Before salvation? No. After salvation? Most certainly!
    Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

    1 Thess 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but [as pleasing] God, which trieth our hearts.

    1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

    I'm glad my heavenly Father is not one that I can never please. Salvation is by God's grace, that unmerited favor of God. The Christian life lived by faith is pleasing to God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. With faith it is possible to please God.

    So you don't have to have faith to be saved? And if you say 'having faith is not a work,' then losing it is not a work either, as that's more passive than having it.
