What a ridiculous statement. Obama had the votes. Pure and simple. If Hilary had carried the fight to the convention floor she wouldn't have gained anything and would have hurt the Democratic party. Why do you claim otherwise?

She had more popular votes by a good margin. I am sure that the Democratic leadership is going to look long and hard at the process when this is all over. It would be pretty hard to have a process for nomination that would be more convoluted (sp) and generally worse than the weird method we have for choosing the CinC, but they seem to have achieved it.

Really. How about Obama with that hateful Michelle who hates America pulling the strings? Our country is headed for demolition if he wins.

Sarah Palin will be a great President. I truly believe God gave Bible-believing Christians one more chance to vote for morality and Godly principles... Otherwise, it will be a disaster and probably Hillary is waiting in the wings for her Supreme Court appointment for life she might have been promised if she conceded to Obama. There had to be some promise made behind closed doors. Then, we can all be guaranteed that Roe v Wade will never be overturned, the party of death will rule, and it may not be just the babies dying.

What has your champion George Bush done to stop the murder of babies? How about his father? How about Ronald Reagan? Since it was a strongly Republican Supreme court (6R and 3D) that passed Roe vs Wade, actually the Republican party is the party of death. Especially since they're also the party of unjust war.

The pre-Reagan GOP was just democrats with clumpy suits, and before Roe, no one even thought about judges and their politics.

The GOP the party of the unjust war?

Real Gun Gontrol is controlling your gun:

Walking properly with it--properly slung, properly shouldered, or carried in the ready position. Unless you are in combat, on patrol, or a Law Enforcement officer on a search, move with your weapon unloaded.

Walking properly in the rain--slung upside down so that the water does not get in the barrel.

Properly and safely crossing a fence row with your weapon--clear it, and carefully slide it under the fence, facing away from your line of walking, then cross to the opposite side as the trigger. Re-clear the weapon, insuring no obstructions.

Always be aware of where the barrel of your gun is pointing--it should never point at buildings or people.

Even if you just cleared your weapon, you always consider a weapon to be loaded.

And, of course, the most important element of gun control is to hit what you intend to hit, and effectively enough that a second shot is not required.

These are just some of the items that I learned at my daddy's knee.

I have a security system which involves a diverse arsenal deployed in a stratgic manner. Option 1, by the way is me holding a military weapon with a fixed bayonet. Since civilians are usually terrified of bayonets, I am sure that will do the trick.

That works great at Times Square.

George Bush is not my champion and if you have been around the board for any length of time, you would know that.

The issue of what he has done regarding abortion has been addressed in other threads.

Bush signed the Partial Birth Abortion ban of 2003, for one.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/11/20031105-1.html

He also limited stem cell research.

I agree he has done little and that is one reason I've always called him a liberal. I am a pro-life conservative and GW Bush got my vote the first time before I found out how liberal he is, so don't even go there with the "champion" rhetoric.

The Pre-Reagan GOP was just Democrats with clumpy suits. The issue did not exist before these bland folks decided it and made law, and they did not have access to modern scientific methods such as ultra-sound, etc.

As for party of the unjust war? What have you been smoking?

"..Come on, all you big strong men, Uncle Sam needs your help again. He's got himself in an awful jam, 'way down yonder in Vietnam. So put down your books, pick up a gun, we're gonna have a whole lotta fun..."

See: LBJ, Tonkin Gulf Resolution, etc.

Well, The kinfolks said, "Jed, ya oughta move away from there. Western Kentucky is where ya oughta be, so they loaded up the truck and moved to Graves County--happy people, well armed, you know what I mean?

By the way, my kids there in Rich VA did just that a couple of years ago. He teaches and coaches, and they bought a whole lot more house for a whole lot less money.

Good point BB, and this is exactly why folks in New York shouldnt have a vote as to whether someone in Arkansas can have a gun, or even 20 guns.....the culture is different. Each state should regulate guns according to the culture/crime and needs for that state.

If you live in North Carolina, then it is none of your business how many guns I own in Arkansas.

The place where I live freaks out big city folks. We have the largest land area of any county in KY, and only 33,000 people (and 40,000 deer).

1. I would feel more comfortable with Palin than Biden. It's more about the people that surround you.
2. You(and many others) give way too much power to the President. He/She has virtually no power without the House and Senate---it's not a Monarch position.
3. As usual---your fallback, ludicrous response is in reaction to the Dems stance on the war and poverty. 2 things you need to educate yourself on:

A. There is no place in the Bible that says the Government is responsible for taking on the poor. It is up to us as individuals and as a Church----period!
B. Regarding your war comments:http://www.gotquestions.org/war-Bible.html:tonofbricks:

I used to live in Casey County, I think it has about 12,000 people. Liberty is the only town and it has like 1500 folks, and they were afraid of people from lexington, thought they were all drug dealers (dopers they called them) and swindlers...In Casey County, you either worked at a gate shop or for the sheriff's department, the two main industries.....LOL

Our biggest employers are the chicken plant (mostly immigrant workers, some even have green cards), the hospital/clinic, the public schools, and a candle factory.

I believe that's only if you include the states which didn't have Obama on the ballot.
