They are not very educated people either.

But I have heard some reports on this subject and whys, from different commentaries on the news and links on webs.

Their families are paid a large ransom for this task those men put themselves through. If they die the families get a lot of money.

I have heard also that the government will cause an incident with family members, that forces these men and boys, to volunteer for these idiotic/sucicidal missions.

This also leads to alot of pressure from family members to do it, and from the imediate members of their communities.

Sometimes also when the boy or man does not give in to all the torment by the government and family members, the government will stage kidnappings in the families, kill members of the family, rape their women and young girls, sell their children, set them beyond poverty level, and even set them up with such large debts there is no other way out.

They are also raised to hate from the very beginning. For most of these people, there is no hope.

You can only be what you are taught. The only way out, some must think, is to die.

I dont think they would make very good shields. A bullit from an M16 would probably go right through them.

 

When you say, "human sheilds", do you mean the people whom Saadam abducts and hides behind or do you mean these pathetic hippie wannabes who plan to go once the shooting starts and block U.S. targets?

In the first case, I think they're victims and ar really nothing more than hostages.

In the second, I think they're idiots and potential Darwin Award winners (we should be so lucky).

I can see the point that they are trying to make. But are they not assuming the innocence of Saddam Hussain? What would they do if they found out that there actually were Chemical / biological weapons that they were human sheilding?

People make stupid assumptions based on what they read in the media, with whatever political glasses they wear. Weapons inspectors have found several missiles used to carry chemical weapons, and are reporting intimidation of inspectors. Even if you are on the left, these are unacceptale actions.

It amazes me that the Left are placing so much emphasis on a "UN Mandate". Are they not the same group who call the UN Corrupt?

 

Hey, what a grand idea. Instead of protesting the war and fleeing to Canada to evade the draft, going to the combat zone and be targets for the enemy is so much better.
