No. I am asking JonC something.
It is actually an interesting question. On one hand we can fairly easy discern that the revolt was contrary to Scripture. But on the other we can also see how God used the creation of the US in terms of spreading the gospel around the world (the event did not contradict God's plan).

As a child, I switched schools between the USA and a colony that was still under British rule. The American school stopped the pledge allegiance because it mentioned God, and the British run school started every day with group prayer. I know I don't know what the "truth" is, but in my formal academic training, the only "Christian" side of the revolution was the British. LOL.
