Hurricane Ike

    We live in a mobile home in Houston, Texas. Due to situations I will not get into, we are forced to ride this storm out. It appears we will be getting wind speeds of around 75 mph, and because of the way we are anchored down and the surrounding area, we should be alright. There is a brick office building which the maintenance man is going to open if needed which is very close by.

    I ask that you remember me, my wife, and animals in prayer today for us.

    Any word DF?

    Talked to my sister yesterday. There are safe and unhurt, but have not been able to get home yet to see damage.

    Thanks for the latest on your sister.
    Yes, we are praying for DF. Maybe we are not hearing from him is because they
    have power outage in a large portion in Houston.

    I want to thank those who prayed for us during this hurricane. We left Houston right after Hurricane Ike and went to Bryan TX, which is about 100 miles northwest, and stayed with our daughter. We have returned to our home, but we still don't have electricity. We have a small generator and since the weather is milder, we will do alright. Our home suffered a little damage but nothing like many others have. We should have electricity by the Sunday. Again, thank you for your pravers and concern. God bless!
