Hymns I Miss

All three mentioned above are sung at our chapel (so called Plymouth Brethren) regularly when we remember the Lord by Lord's Supper every week.
We have separate Hymn book for the worship service and for the sermon service.

I am not sure you have these too:

Rich! you are right!
There are 2 kinds of Hymn book for Worship Service in addition to Hymn of Praise and Truth.
One is Believers Hymn Book and the other is Hymns of Worship and Remembrance.
Both are more less the same but Believers Hymn Book has more.

I think the book was published in Topeka, Kansas.

Richard, I have regularly heard "At The Cross" and "Hallelujah, What a Savior" at Baptist churches around here throughout my lifetime, though of course one can be more popular at one place than others. I am not familiar with the "The Sands of Time Are Sinking" song.

Every church I know has their favorite songs that they always sing, and other songs that almost never get sung. Then you go to another church and they sing songs that you never heard at the first place.

Ones I liked but don't hear where I am now.....

Richard, thanks for the "In Emmanuel's Land" link. The tune sounds familiar, but I've never heard those words used, or noticed them in any book I have.

 

If I have to choose only five songs, then I would not hesitate to choose Amazing Love first, by Charles Wesley, different from Amazing Grace.

And can it be that I should gain an interest in the Savior's blood?
Died hHe for me, who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued?

Is that the tune with which you're familiar? It appears to be by E. F. Rimbault, who also composed the common "O Happy Day" tune.

 

rlvaughn, thank you very much, I enjoyed it because in the previous address I could not hear the songs, but I heard it thru that address.

BTW could anyone find the address for Amazing Love (And can it be...)? I wish I could.
