    I know I have posted hymns on the BB before. But I can't locate where.

    I'll start with a Fanny Crosby hymn.

    O Christ, what burdens bowed thy head!
    Our load was laid on thee;
    Thou stoodest in the sinner's stead,
    Didst bear all ill for me.
    A victim led, thy blood was shed,
    Now there's no load for me.

    Death and the curse were in our cup:
    O Christ, 'twas full for thee!
    But thou hast drained the last dark drop,
    'Tis empty now for me;
    That bitter cup, love drank it up,
    Thy bruising healeth me.

    Jehovah lifted up his rod;
    O Christ, it fell on thee!
    Thou wast sore stricken of thy God;
    There's not one stroke for me.
    Thy tears, thy blood, beneath it flowed;
    Thy bruising healeth me.

    For me, Lord Jesus, thou hast died,
    And I have died in thee;
    Thou'rt risen -- my bands are all untied,
    And now thou liv'st in me;
    When purified, made white and tried,
    Thy glory then for me!

    This one is by Thomas Kelly

    We sing the praise of him who died,
    Of him who died on the cross;

    The sinner's hope let men deride,
    For this we count the world but loss.

    Inscribed upon the cross we see
    In shining letters, "God is love";
    He bears our sins upon the tree,
    He brings us mercy from above.

    The cross! It takes our guilt away,
    It holds the fainting spirit up;
    It cheers with hope the gloomy day,
    And sweetens every bitter cup.

    It makes the coward spirit brave,
    And nerves the feeble arm for fight;
    It takes its terror from the grave
    And gilds the bed of death with light.

    The balm of life, the cure of woe,
    The measure and the pledge of love;
    The sinner's refuge here below,
    The angels' theme in heaven above.

    Christ, or Else I Die
    Author(s):
    Gracious Lord, incline Thine ear;
    My request vouchsafe to hear;
    Hear my never-ceasing cry;
    Give me Christ, or else I die.

    Wealth and honor I disdain,
    Earthly comforts, Lord, are vain;
    These can never satisfy:
    Give me Christ, or else I die.

    All unholy and unclean,
    I am weighted by my sin;
    On thy mercy I rely;
    Give me Christ, or else I die

    Thou dost freely save the lost;
    In Thy grace alone I trust.
    With my earnest plea comply;
    Give me Christ, or else I die.

    All unholy and unclean,
    I am weighted by my sin;
    On thy mercy I rely;
    Give me Christ, or else I die

    Thou hast promised to forgive
    All who in thy Son believe;
    Lord, I know Thou cannot lie;
    Give me Christ, or else I die

    All unholy and unclean,
    I am weighted by my sin;
    On thy mercy I rely;
    Give me Christ, or else I die
