Anything but the KJV to me is speaking in tongues and in need of interpretation.

The Thomas Nelson Open Bible in the KJV is the book for me. The open bible below is my first one, presented to me after teaching a year of Sunday School at a Freewill Baptist church some time ago. Wore the thing out reading it, and bought another, pictured beside it.

I've got some colorful pages too.
Was a bit peeved at the time but years later I now treasure them!

God speaks in many different ways, sometimes even through illegible scribblings of children.

I prefer to stick with the Wessex Gospels and Old English Hexateuch. That new fangled KJV is just too modern for my tastes.

On frymðe wæs Word, and þæt Word wæs mid Gode, and God wæs þæt Word. Þæt wæs on fruman mid Gode. Ealle þing wæron geworhte ðurh hyne; and nan þing næs geworht butan him. Þæt wæs lif þe on him geworht wæs; and þæt lif wæs manna leoht. And þæt leoht lyht on ðystrum; and þystro þæt ne genamon.

Whatever the KJV we have in the library, which we believe has been handed down through the family since we left Noah's Ark and arrived here in Virginia. In other words... That is all we know! or care to know!

I am KJVO, as well, but am still looking for the perfect one. I have been looking, with interest, at the Pure Cambridge Edition. Any opinions on this edition over others or vise versa? And, please explain the reason for your preference.

The King James Bible is the word of God. It was never called a "version" until the forst counterfeit came out called the Revised Version.
When referring to the "Bible" or the "word of God" by a bible believing Baptist, is automatically implied that they are referring to the King James Bible. The AV1611 for the gnat strainers

In order to be called a "Bible Believer" one must believe the bible. Like Psalm 12:6,7. 'Nuff said.

Stop looking, you found it. The AV 1611 James Bible. Read it, study it, rightly divide it, BELIEVE it.
