I am no longer anxious about anything!

A Thought from Hudson Taylor...

"The sweetest part...is the rest which full identification with Christ brings. I am no longer anxious about anything, as I realize this; for He, I know, is able to carry out His will, and His will is mine. It makes no matter where He places me or how. This rather for Him to consider than for me; for in the easiest positions He must give me His grace, and in the most difficult HIs grace is sufficient"

What a wonderful statement of child-like faith/trust in our Lord! Imagine learning to trust the Lord so much as to be able to honestly say "I am no longer anxious about anything". That is where I desire to be. I want to be able to trust Him totally. It is something that must be learned, it is not automatic. For some it is easier than others, yet it is something we all need to learn to do. I hope and pray the same thing is true with every believer who reads this post.

There is a very old hymn that I think goes with this thought...

"What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
thou wilt find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised,
Thou wilt all our burdens bear.
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded
there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship
will be our sweet portion there."
