I got a new smartphone recently and it has been great. But it may be dangerous to have BB access in my pocket :)

This unit runs Symbian S60 OS which is actually the world marketshare leader for mobile devices.
BUt it is not as common in the US as in Europe.

DO you remember the old Psion handhelds?
This is the newer generations of those.

It will not run WinCE programs but it should run every type of program you are looking for.

I have a good bible program on it from Olive tree with several translations.
I have quick office which is MS Office compatible and came on the device.
It has wifi built in so you don't have to have a data plan from your carrier but it is of course nice.
It also comes with adobe reader.

It has a good camera for a device like this and good multimedia stuff, like a pretty decent music player, real player and a podcast program.

There are thousands of 3rd party apps for it as well.

I understand that. I got my iPhone back in July and find myself checking (and posting) on BB from friends houses, the airport, and even in the car (when someone else is driving)

I remember way way back 3 yrs ago when I purchased my first BlackBerry..... The joy of almost always being able to play online.

I upgraded a few months back to one that uses their 'broadband'.. WOW.

How did I ever make it before? :D

This is really interesting. I got a Nokia E71 since a few weeks. I really need to try this.

As an Apple fan I really wanted the iPhone but:
    A. My Carrier does not have the iPhone so I would have to buy a used one and unlock it.
    B. The only way I could justify the expense was that the nokia does all that I needed for work on the road. It has all of the office programs and Adobe and it even has a zip utility.

I am sure that the iPhone will have all of this ability by the time I am ready to get a new phone in a couple of years.
I hope that other carriers will have it by then as well.

I got a Motorola Moto Q a week and a half ago for work. I'm not addicted to mine (really, I'm not, I can stop anytime ;) ), but I'm starting to understand why people can get addicted to them.

I stayed away from the Moto Q. Partly because I didn't want a Windows Mobile device.
I was talking to a guy yesterday that had one.
    He really liked my nokia.

All in all though they seemed to have similar functionality.
