AND I can't figure out how to get the box to open!

I can see the pin it's suppose to pivot on, but I can't get it to break loose anywhere to pivot on that pin!

What would we do without tape  Bet we spend more time pulling tape, security tape etc. off than we do enjoying life. :tonofbricks:

Your problem, James, is that you're stuck on old technology.

WOW James I didn't know they even made XP for a tape drive. Is it cassette, reel to reel, or 8 track?

With a box that hard to open, how hard will the software be?
    lol
I have used Office 2007 a little. I am assuming that is what you are using.

I got to school and picked up my laptop from there, so I've got communication again. How do you spell RELIEF?

I got MS Office Home edition 2007 -- sorry to be incomplete in my description. I was frustrated -- didn't you see me banging my head against the wall? It must have addled my already squishy brain. Just call me mcbabbler ;)

It was not what made my computer DIE -- not crash, but die. I'd already had the programs for 2 months (or at least the trial version). I'd downloaded from MS and had bought it because it was going to run out today, so it had to be validated.

btw, I've already ordered a new laptop. Hopefully, it will be here tonight or tomorrow. *sigh*

Maybe we should just hold a little ole' pageant . . . I think we'd all be winners ;)

I am wanting Office 2007... but the pricetag keeps me at bay. I tried the demo and loved it.

My wife wants Publisher, and it comes with the Professional version. Problem is we don't use the same computer, and I would hate to know what an additional license would cost.

Personally I am a cheapskate. I use Open Office cause it's free and it does everything I need it to do.

I use powerpoint tons in my lessons. It is furnished by the school and I wanted to give the new powerpoint a try. It is VERY smooth and I was hooked. Also the new Word has some very nice capabilities that the 2003 does not have.

The home/student edition had a $30 rebate. AND the new laptop comes with Vista, but not MS office.

BUT now I'm concerned that the old version of Fireworks that I use constantly will not be compatible with Vista . . . *bleh* -- new thread coming

Oh, yeah, MS definitely got Office 2007 right. The new interface is just awesome. everything is right there, and it is laid out so that nothing is hidden.
