    ...and Facebook and Twitter etc.

I knew that China would block a number of sites but come on! Sometimes the BB is blocked a number of Christian sites I just can't access at all. Maybe the authorities will find a way to hinder my access to the blessed BaptistBoard. But life goes on anyway.

I'm in Hong Kong for the day and feelin' the freedom! The mainland is certainly a different ball game. Once the border is crossed it's like I have a sense of the America that I remember without the negative stuff.

The late Canadian prime minister, Pierre Trudeau, wanted to send each Canadian abroad to the former communist countries for a week. They would come home and better appreciate Canada and our freedoms under law.

    Cheers,

Not even necessarily Communist countries...make you appreciate the one you are in..

Several years ago an uncle of mine worked for BP and he and his wife lived the expat. life all over the world. His posting was in a South American country. He was playing squash on a regular basis and suffered a massive heart attack which ultimately killed him. My aunt was in a state as one can imagine even though BP looked after their people very well. My mother who was his only sibling found out about 3 DAYS after the event because the phone system was very iffy. My aunt needed to engage the nursing staff etc. It was a difficult time maximised into awfulness due to unreliability and general corruption of government departments etc etc.

I thank God every day for letting me live in an untroubled and comparitively wealthy land, where I do not go hungry, I am not harrassed daily, and have all my needs taken care of, not the wants maybe.

Since my feet are so big I'll probably need to get my crocs that I left back in Korea. I just have two pair of shoes here.
