I'm having a hard time finding information concerning the effects of free trade on education, how it all relates and blah blah blah. I've read the NAFTA agreement, looked at some articles, but there seems to be a conspiracy to make the ones unavailable or at a cost that look like they have the info I need.
Does anyone know of a place online where I can find this? I've gotta be missing it in the searches, I know it must be out there.

    Gina,

Search for political science and public policy journals, such as "The Long Term View", put out by Mass. School of Law at Andover. There are hundreds of them, and I am sure you can find some of them archived online. You could also refine your search to include public policy research and NAFTA, which should cut out a lot of the nonacademic "stuff". There is also the Satya Center and the CATO Institute, (two of many policy research centers). If that doesn't work, pm me.

Thank you very much folks, the links are helpful indeed! The Satya one is interesting, and I'll be making use of information on there.

I also found my "direction", for as I researched I came across a Activism group in Africa, a group that is trying to move Africa toward more social/civil/ political rights and freedoms, and they comment a number of times on NAFTA. It is the type of perspective I was hoping to run across, but didn't know if I would find. I love it when things fall together like this! The teacher I have is the same one I had for speech, where I discussed civil rights and we were both on the same page then, so this will work out great for both of us.
