Hmmm

And "I pledge to be a servant of The President"

Video shown to students....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51kAw4OTlA0

More of Barack's God complex...

Can anyone say, King Nebuchadnezzar?

Notice, it advertises Obama's volunteer force that requires the person to forgo witnessing for Christ while signed up in the force (3 months)...

We need to teach our children to be Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego.
Teach them to stand for God, and against the policies of this abortion loving, fascist, ego maniac we have as a president.

Then he wants to address America's children Tuesday? Hmmm...

What do you think about this video...

Will you pledge to serve the president?

I pledge do everything I can to see him not get elected again in 2012!

There is a person who says at about the 3:15 mark - "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama." At about the 3:55 mark another person says - "I pledge to be a servant to our president". These are in severe need of a civics lesson. In the United States those folks in the government are our servants.

I think those particular comments at least hint of a sort of cultic worship of President Obama. There no evidence, in the video itself or that I am aware of, that President Obama had anything to do with the production of this video.

We are to serve God, not man.

Totally off topic, but, I gotta ask, huh? Most Christians serve God by serving each other. There's nothing wrong with serving man. It's not just a cookbook.

Okay, back to the OP: Pledging to the office? No problem. Pledging to a person in office? Not a fan.

What a bunch of hooey!

Like their leader, the zero, it is highly unlikely any of these zeros will keep their pledges.

Actors and make believe go hand in hand.

Very nice video...and nothing like what you framed it as, Tim. Just pledges to improve the world, not to serve the President.

MP, your facts were incorrect. Ken pointed them out here.

Also...I'm beginning to see more and more of this heroic self-promotion and publicity from Obama towards kids. It makes me very nervous. Maybe it's because there were others who did it...folks like "Chairman Mao," Fidel Castro (although by black democrats, he's now considered a hero

), Mu-ammar Qadaffi, and others. Frankly, it's disturbing.

I would say it is attributed to Obama.. .especially since it has come out the week before his "education" speech to children. It is clearly a PR piece designed to be propaganda by converting school age children into jr. lobbyists.. and pester mom and dad to support Obama's agenda of destroying America.

Castro must be proud... almost as proud as some of the leaders in America are of Castro... and Chavez... etc....

Castro, Chavez, Obama... not much difference.

On the other hand, how many would have pledge allegiance to Ronald Regan?

The only "Pledge of Allegiance" I recognize or adhere to is the one that says "One nation under God..."

I don't pledge my alliegance to anyone. One can serve God & Country, but the key is God has to be first.

I serve God, my family, & my country in that order.

I say God first because no one else should be before Him.

My family is second because I lookout for those I care to protect (this also includes friends).

My country comes last. Don't get me wrong, I love being an American & love my country, but it has to take a backseat to my family. I would expect everyone else to feel the same way.

Is there a family "pledge of allegiance"? If so, I'm not familiar with it.
Can you share it with us?

If you check the date on the video on YouTube - at least the one I watched that my sister had sent me two days ago - it was January 20, 2009, if I recall correctly. I can't access it right now to verify that.
