    About 20 years ago I was taken out of context by the Seattle Times over a letter I wrote about King County Executive Ron Sims. The times and others tried to get be fired from Seattle Police Department but I managed to get my 30 years before it was over.

    I'm glad you were able to retire first. The news media doesn't have a conscience when it comes to character assassination. They have a way with taking things out of context to make a point. This is one reason I don't write letters to the local newspapers any more. I didn't like the "edits" they made that changed my meaning or focus.
