I agree with you 100%. America drips the blood of millions of innocent babies from her hands. Sacrificed on the alter of "choice" to the god of lust/self. No different from Molech. Same god, different name, same spirit. There WILL be an accounting one day.

 

I guess I would reverse the decision to outlaw prayer in public schools. The day we "kicked" God out of school, the morals of our country began to rapidly decline. I do not believe laws such as Roe-Vs-Wade would be here had we left a godly influence in our schools.

When God's people stood by and allowed this to happen, other laws naturally followed. I.e. abortion rights, homosexual rights, and legalization of various things we would normally be against.

On a spiritual note, the law I would change would be the one described in the following verse.
Romans 7:23 " But I see another law in my members , warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members ."

 

Repeal Roe v. Wade. Repeal of the income tax. Hmmm, what else....

 

The income tax needs no repeal as it was never ratified in the first place.

Maybe the 21st amendment.

 

I would have to say it goes back even further.

Like maybe all the way back to where they gave women the right to vote!

 

That the death penalty should be applied to more crimes than just murder.

It is. In the federal system, violations of treason and some "drug kingpin" laws qualify one for the death penalty, but many of these would not withstand a constitutional challenge to the Supreme Court.

 

I don't suggest challenging that law in the court system.

2) miranda v. arizona
3) Bush v. Gore - a naked judicial coup (and by the way, I did not vote for Gore.).
4) any law establishing term limits (including the consitutional amendment).

Be thankful for:
The first amendment! BTW, the next time you adovcate prayer in schools, don't assume you'll be leading it-it could be a wiccan, a muslim, a hindu, or a mormon. Use your brain.
There is a reason Baptists wrote it (or at least inspired and insisted on it).

I have changed my mind over the last few years to where I must agree with David Cooke, Jr. on the school prayer issue. We are not the only game in town. If you insist on formal school prayer you are opening a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Unless you are prepared to allow all these other religions equal time. But I do think that relaxing to allow student initiated prayers in less formal settings is OK. For instance, I do not know how it would be looked at today if a student wanted to include a short prayer in their graduation address. I guess it might depend on which federal court district you live under. I think a student leading a prayer in that setting is OK. You may still get something you don't like but there is not the air of official endorsement there would be if the school arranged it. When I graduated we were told as we were preparing our speeches that such was not allowed.

There is a problem with all of your suggestions, and I tried to give you all a clue, to how far back you needed to go.

Yes, I made the suggestion of reversing right to vote for women. Was I serious? You may never know!

But, the point, Yes you all picked good laws to get rid of, and have really said nothing about how come it got to that point!

How did we even get to the point of considering abortion?

How did we even get to the point of considering taking the Bible and prayer out of schools?

So! Where did ALL of this really start? That would be where you would have to start changing laws!
