If you had to pick another...

Well, I live in an area where I have two options: A United Pentecostal or Anglican Church. Since I grew up in the Anglican Church and my wife is Anglican, that si where we attend.

Why? This particular Anglican Church preaches the gospel, and I can fellowship with anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. This does not compromise what I believe historically in theological terms.

Okay. Seriously, in answer to your question, I
believe I would go nowhere. Personally, I think I
would get more out of studying the BIble alone
and using written and recorded resources than
from attending a place of a different religion.

I would be concerned, however, about lack of
personal social-spiritual growth without
interaction with others. For this, I think it would be
necessary to connect with others in some
capacity.

Reformed Church in America. In fact, I've attended a local RCA church with some friends from time to time.

 

I too would start an Independent Fundamental Baptist church. How? Pray for God to send a pastor and in the mean time hold services anywhere that is available.

 

Reformed Episcopal Church because of it's Reformed heritage and emphasis on preaching and it's Liturgy.

This was not theoretical for me. I served in the US Air Force for over 20 years, and in all my travels, finding a church was always a challenge. I did help with two church plants, both Sovereign Grace Baptist churches. Once, while participating in an aircraft crash investigation in California, I found an unusual place to worship. Three smaller churches had bought out the property of a larger church that had outgrown its facilities. The three small churches formed a limited real estate partnership, and they shared the facilities while remaining separate congregations (they were far apart from each other, ranging from Charismatic to Reformed Baptist. In other words, they had a church mall. Only in California!

 

I wouldn't move then.

 

South Central Kentucky...

I wasn't complaining--it was fun! Beside that, if you are a career military man, not moving is not in your sent of allowable alternatives. When Uncle calls, we haul.

 

Hey in Mayfield, I'm in Hart county.
Then I'd get together other baptists and start a home church. Not going to church anywhere I disagree with their teachings.

 

1)PCA, ARP, or any other conservative Presbyterian congregation.
2)Non-denom, non-charismatic/pentecostal Bible church.
3)Possibly start a Baptistic home/cell church.

 

When I lived in the boondocks of Indiana, the best church in the area was Mennonite. Though I did disagree with several teachings, none were central. I even worked on changing some minds on some of those issues with some success.

Those people loved each other (and even us) like no other church I'd ever seen or have seen since (and I've been in and around Baptist churches my whole life). Now that we're back in NY, and back in an IFB church--I really miss that close Mennonite fellowship.

Sorry G,...was asking! But out of all the responses I've yet to see someone say they would wait upon the Lord to see what He wants done.
Well there might have been one thinking in that direction in their answer.
Me??? I'd have to wait on Him....I'd be lost without Him!!! Probaly wind up in O-hi-o trying to learn a new language & never would find a church.

 

If I wasn't a dyed-in-the-wool Baptist, I would be a Messianic Jew.
