This video introduces the ESV. It is sorta an "ad" for the ESV but also a little clarification on the translational principles of the ESV. Enjoy! Oh, and *please right click, save as* (don't stream it)

Also, feel free to let me know how fast you are downloading it, just curious to see how my server is doing [IMG]

It's a big file, so I don't think 56k would even want to try it

Just watched it. Good, solid presentation and first class.

I enjoy the ESV though I've not read much in it thus far.

I always suspected pastors were overpaid. They are the only one's with wide-band. Here I am with my 9.95 a month Netscape connection. . . [IMG]

Just kidding pastors. I only know of two that are overpaid and neither posts on this site, nor preach at my church. If they are paid a dollar a month it is too much for them to be preaching. [IMG] :D

Dr. Bob, glad you enjoyed it! As you probably remember, I just got the Reformation Bible, whose general editor is Sproul and I'm really enjoying it! [IMG] (It's ESV)

No, I'm on DSL but it's taking an awful long time to download. Besides, I already have my copy of the ESV ...

No, that's fine West. It is a large file (100+MB) so that is fine. If you ever wanted it faster, either my server would have to be "turned up" bandwidth wise, or if it's on your end (doubt it though), you'd just need to have your cable (I'm guessing) speed turned up.

However, most servers and websites don't load as fast as cable is now.

For example, I used to have 3 MBs per second which is flying, but basically NO website that I know of loads that fast, so you don't really ever notice the difference except in your cable bill [IMG]

I downloaded it in about 3 min. here at a UMD computer lab. But when I tried to burn it to a cd so I could listen to it at home, it failed. So, I will have to try again later.

Feel free to download it again from your house if you can't get your CD burning to work correctly [IMG]

I may have to although I would rather get it from here as home is slow old 56K dial-up. It takes forever to download stuff that way. [IMG]
