I'm looking for the name of a band...

    That I heard on the radio a couple weeks ago.

    It's some gospel outfit that sounds like "Fairport Convention", only Fairport Convention are a 60s British folk-rock group.

    I don't pretend to be well-versed in the realm of gospel music, but if anyone has any ideas of whom I'm looking for, it'd be most appreciated.

    Can you think of any other clues at all? Like maybe a phrase from one of their songs? I know about a lot of bands,but that clue doesn't help me... :confused:

    I figured it out, but thanks.

    Fairfield Four was who I was looking for.

    But I still can't find the song I was looking for. I don't remember the lyrics and there really weren't many lyrics. I can just descrbie the tune as "wild". Its on one of their live albums, I just need to go to the record store to figure out which one.

    EDIT: I put this thread in All Other Discussions because I'm not a Baptist. Since a moderator transferred it to this forum, I must assume I am able to post in the thread I created.

    Wait a second! I have several Fairfield Four albums and they don't sound anything like Fairport Convention.

    Anyway, do you know the name of the song? If yu can tell me that, I can help.

    No no.

    I didn't mean they sounded like Fairport Convention. I meant their NAME sounded like it. [​IMG]

    Sorry for the confusion.

    I don't remember the song title at all.

    Its from one of the live albums.

    All I can remember about is it features one of the singers bend his voice upwards multiple times throughout the song, at times he was the only voice, then it would move into a bouncy sound. I know that's not enough to go on. It was so catchy.
