I thought they might have been Chinese.

    It glazes me over.

About a month ago, workers on a farm were raided... about 10 more or less including 1 female, all illegal and without papers: Some Mexicans, who had established a very nice restuarant here... and done well enough to expand 2 more places, had their restuarant raided... some of their employees didn't have proper papers. In both cases, the social security numbers being used were stolen.

The one's who ran the restuarant, were good people; they sold no beer or alcohol, were closed on Sundays, and had both a Spanish and an English Bible opened on there checkout counter.. Their meals and service was good, the food was fresh, and they gave good portions at reasonable prices.

It was sad to me, seeing these Christian people have their business shut down, which is what happened: I have no idea regarding their (the owners) own involvement or innocence regarding the fake id of those who were illegal.... but hope they were innocent and are proven so, if they were, just like the local farmer, who thought his help was legit because of social security numbers.

A local and very community outreach FBC was helpful, about 20 years ago, in sharing their facilities for Spanish services and for Spanish to English lessons here for a group of Spanish immigrants: The Spanish church group grew until they finally split off to establish their own place for meeting. I believe some of the owners of these 3 restuarants were of that church group in anchor and support. I pray for them: I can't help the feeling they might have been caught in a compromise: I hope they are innocent... is about all I can say.
