Impeach the Gov. of SC

Looks like the Gov. of SC should be impeached. He cheated on his wife, lied about it and was absent from his duties for 5 days. He used government funding to visit his harlot.

Yep Old Bill should have gone both for his adultery( of which you can be court Martialed, thrown in jail, and kicked out of the military) and lying to a federal grand jury. And so should this Governor.

Bush is the only president who was really AWOL during war time. If it hadn't been for his connections, he would have been tried for his life.

He has not broken any laws as far as I know. I mean breaking a law would have been something like lying in a legal proceeding. If he had done something that awful he should be impeached and convicted.

I think he should resign. However, he has not broken any laws as has already been pointed out. There is no impeachable offense. He did not lie to a grand jury or anything close to that. He has not skirted around the issue but come right out and admitted the truth. At least he was man enough to say "I cheated on my wife." That unlike another more famous character who lied before a grand jury and lied to the American people over and over again about his sexual relationship. Who, by the way, was rightfully impeached and should have been removed from office.

I think if the governor of SC had one ounce of integrity left in him, he would resign without even the subject of being thrown out of office even being considered. However, the mindset is to hold onto power as long as possible. To be totally fair, I wonder sometimes what an average person like me would do if put into an office like that. Maybe it is not fair to criticize so much when we here on this board are average joes and not tempted by power that goes with such an office.

Since Republicans have chosen in their ienpt glory have decided to campaign like Christians and act like Democrats, it makes much more of a mockery the Christian faith when Republicans do things of this nature (ie Ensign, Craig, Vitter, etc, etc, etc.). One expects it from the Democrats.

I see the clowns are still at it in this thread, creating a difference between Republicans and Democrats, right off the bat. Hey, you are in great company, the New York Times and Washington Post prints that myth everyday.

Since he used state funds to visit his gal pal, he should be impeached. This was the same clown who said Clinton could not be trusted since he cheated on his wife. He is a hypocrite, but that is not grounds for impeachment. Misuse of state monies IS.
