Intelligence Warns Israel is now an ‘Obstacle to Obama'

(IsraelNN.com) According to a classified intelligence assessment handed to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Barack Obama and his senior advisors wish to “incrementally diminish U.S. strategic cooperation with Israel.”

A report in World Tribune quoted an Israeli source familiar with the intelligence assessment who said that "Obama wants to make friends with our worst enemies and [those who were] until now the worst enemies of the United States. Under this policy,” the source added, “we are more than irrelevant. We have become an obstacle.”

According to the report, which has not been corroborated by news sources other than World Tribune, Israeli sources said the U.S. Administration would reject Israel’s intelligence opinions on Iran and Syria while advancing the Obama plan to reconcile with the two states, although both were listed as state sponsors of terrorism by the U.S. State Department.

The Israeli intelligence document reportedly predicted that Obama would maintain his policy of appeasing Iran and Syria through 2010. It determined that Obama is convinced that appeasing Iran and Syria would make a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan possible.

An "IMHO" prediction from the keyboard of JWP:

The day we turn our back on Israel is the day our doom is SEALED! Right now there is still hope for us (I think?), but once the "0" decides that Israel is a liability & tosses them to the wolves, well there will be no turning back!!

Be afraid of this man folks, be very afraid. Remember the slickest politicians do not let you hear their bell!

And once the die is cast, it'll be too late to try to patch up what's left of this once great country as we race to 3rd world status!

Unfortunately most Americans are simply :sleeping_2: as the run-away train is bearing down on the collapsed bridge not so far ahead.

Ben-Eliezer: Netanyahu will surprise us with 'serious' Syria talks

Ben-Eliezer: Netanyahu will surprise us with 'serious' Syria talks

By Yossi Verter, Haaretz Correspondent

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to conduct "serious negotiations" with the Palestinians and the Syrians, Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer (Labor) told Haaretz. The full interview will appear Friday in Week's End.

"Netanyahu is going to surprise us all," said Ben-Eliezer, who is industry, trade and employment minister, after several tete-a-tetes with the prime minister over the past month.

...

Regarding the Palestinians, Netanyahu's plan will be based on a two-state solution, said Ben-Eliezer.

"It's not the same Bibi," Ben-Eliezer said. "He's much more open, patient and relaxed. He's not alarmed or dogmatic. Something happened to him. He realizes that he cannot afford another crash like the one in his previous term.

...

He said that he and Netanyahu believe the Iranian issue should be solved diplomatically, not militarily.

Thanks for the good news. It will either bring on the rapture or put our foreign affairs into a reasonable perspective, win/win.

Israel would do a good thing by turning to Christ, instead of relying on the American taxpayer.

Most definitely, but as we know, this ain't gonna happen until they are in much more dire straits than they are right now! And I'm seriously thinking that a large part of that "more dire straits" is gonna be the result of being abandoned by the USA.

Pity, but according to the BOOK, that's just the way it is.

I don't think Israel will be in dire financial straits. I believe it will be the other way around. Our doom is pretty much sealed as a nation.:tear:

I am for the USA, not necessarily for Israel. They have been as stubborn as the Palestinians. The original UN resolution called for a Jewish state and a Palestinian state. Until that happens, there will be problems there. Often, we have common interests with Israel. Other times, not so much.
