What internet filters do you recommend. I have never had one on my computer, but am looking at adding one.

I am considering adding a fliter because a few weeks ago my wife was surfing the net, accidently mispelled an internet address and got a porn site instead of the site she was looking for. You can't believe the high pitched scream that she let out when that poped up on the screen. If that can happen to her, it is even more likely that my 7 yr. old might accidently come across something like that.

My ISP offers CyberPatrol free for one year, but according to CyberPatrol the software is not compatible with Win XP. I am running XP.

They also offer CyberSnoop at a 20% discount.

Is anyone familiar with either of these fliters? I know that the software might just work on XP, but the manufacter just hasn't tested it yet. Has anyone tried CyberPatrol on a computer with XP?

You could always look for a filtered service. They run about $25/month.

I use one called S4F. It seems good ... Of course, I don't go looking for things so I don't know. They have been responsive on several sites I have recommended for blocking.
