Internet Scammers from Nigeria??? Who'd thought it?

I've had scores of these emails.

 

So,

You're going to give me millions of dollars if I give you my bank account number?

Only if you agree to help me launder $5 million I've skimmed from the government coffers. Or pretend to be the heir of a dead millionaire and agree to give me a cut. Or help me, a hapless widow, transfer funds to an American bank so I can immigrate to the US.

 

Well I can't get over how many foreign lotteries I win every day! They'll be happy to deposit the money if I'll just send them my bank account info, too!

 

Once I responded to one of those emails saying thank you, but I already have enough money to manage--maybe next time.

Don't do that unless you don't mind getting more emails, though. If you respond with anything your address gets flagged as a live one and passed around to every scammer in the region.
