Yup, it was Dateline. I was at the gym while it was on, and, darn it, I forgot my headphones, so, lacking the ability to read lips, I missed the content. I knew it was gonna be on, but plum forgot!!!Originally posted by gb93433:
I think it was Dateline.
I beg to differ. God wants you to be you. He wants you as you are. He just doesn't want you to do what you do. There are too many unbelievers who don't move in God's direction because they think God doesn't want them as they are. We don't need believers buying into that as well.God doesen't want me to be me, because I'm I filty sinner in this flesh.
Like I said I saw the interview, I don't remember every word he said but what Larry heard is about right. It brakes my heart and it angers me that Satan has blinded the eyes of the Christian. To by into this trash and that's all it is trash. Another divertion that Satan has set up to take the focus off of what matters. I can hear St Paul now The Cross is offensive to those who are parrishing. So don't preach it we woulden't want to offend them. They may not like us. And they won't come around to this amusement park we try to pass off as a church and we won't be able to pay for it.Originally posted by Pastor Larry:
Someone who saw the interview told me last night that Warren said in teh interview that he never talks about things like abortion and homosexuality because people who are there are hurting and he doesn't want to offend them. If that is true, then it is shows that Warren is compromising the teaching of God's word for the sake of not offending people.
Has anyone found a transcript?

Fact: Saddleback (Warren's church) has one of the largest anti-abortion ministries I know of. Counseling, helping, adoption, ministering to the victims. But you say Warren is evil because he doesn't preach exactly the way you think.
Again, I can attest to this firsthand, and concur with Dr Bob. There are hundreds of homosexuals who have abandoned the homosexual lifestyle because of Saddleback's outreach program. I've known several. I can't think of any other church in the area that has an outreach program to help them do this. Those who "think" Warren doesn't take a stand against homosexuality are flat out wrong.Fact: Saddleback has a tremendous ministry to the homosexual community.
Are you talking about Promise Keepers including Mormons? I do have an issue with that but I don't think Rick Warren does this. Are you saying that Rick Warren includes Mormons as Christians? You are mixing a lot of things together here and one might think that's what you mean. Please clarify. But do the means justify the end IMO no because the end of the neo evangelical movement is all of us being one Catholic's, Episcople, Mormans, United Methodis ect...(look at Promise keepers) and not just religios movements becoming as one but the church being one with the world.
