Introducing Van

Hi Everybody, I am fairly new to the board.

I was born in Colorado, but grew up in southern California, where I still live.
My favorite Bible version is the NASB, but I also cross reference with the KJV, NKJV, ESV, and NIV. I am neither a 5 point Calvinist, nor a 5 point Arminian, I share the once actually saved, its settled view with the Calvinists, and the conditioned on Faith view of election and Christ died for all mankind view with Arminians. I believe God's election before the foundation of the world, where He chose us in Him (Eph. 1:4) was corporate rather than individual, which puts me at odds with some in both groups, and I believe God individually elects those whose faith He credits as righteousness (Romans 4:5) during our lifetime. And I think both prevenient grace and irresistible grace are mistaken views, because I believe fallen natural men can understand and appropriately respond to the milk of the gospel.

I try to listen and not fan flames, but on the other hand, am quite willing to stand firm for what I believe is the pure gospel of Christ.
