Is anybody here who knows something about chacra?

I think that eastern religions believe in this chacra. They believe that the body has multiple energy points through which the chacra flows and it also has a certain spin. I think they imagine it like a flow of energy which flows like a helix through these points in the body.
Yesterday I saw something on TV. A woman suffered from chronic pain and went to a so called aura-healer. This guy stood around the woman and moved his arms in the air as if he was pulling something out of the woman and checked her chacra this way and then he told her that her chacra doesn't have the normal spin but that it has a different spin and he could also tell her the things which this affects. He told her that she lacks joy in her life and that she wants security and obviously these things were all correct and the woman was pretty moved. They continued this stuff for a few sessions and then she was healed from the pain. Isn't this strange? How could he know these things about her? And since she was healed does this mean that this chacra really exists and that everybody has a chacra?

There are a total of seven chacras. It is mostly a Buddhist belief. They believe that if you can align these chacras you can attain "Enlightenment."

Are you sure the guy that did the healing was not talking about "Chi" and not chacras?

On could get much of this from a witch doctor, as well, I would think!

Although I'm pretty sure they are not usually identified with 'Eastern religions'.

You start some really off the wall topics.

He needs enlightenment in the form of discipleship and then his moniker might become a name worthy of his claiming to be a disciple of the Most High.

And he might start some good topics?

You dabble in witchcraft . . .

I do not have a pastor....

The pastor of the church where I sometimes went to is gone. I don't know the woman which replaced him. I'm not going to talk to a strange woman which might have a totally liberal theology. In Germany you never know....

And you go to church with liberal theology

xdisciplex said:
Define "being discipled" do you mean going to church and listening to what a pastor tells you and then simply believing it all without questioning it? Is this what you mean with being discipled?
First of all I would have to know that the pastor is trustworthy and that his theology is okay or do you think I will simply allow myself to be brainwashed by somebody only because he's a pastor?

Yet, you worry about being misled . . .

Oh man, you're so funny.

Of course there are pastors in Germany but I do not have a car, okay?
My range is very limited....
In my town there aren't many churches and even if I go to a church what do you think will happen? Are you so naive and think that as soon as the pastor sees a new face he'll come running to me asking me if I allow him to dedicate his free-time to disciplining me? lol!
Pastors are busy people. They usually don't have time. In this one charismatic church where I sometimes go to the pastor is so busy you won't ever get the chance to talk to him.

You would rather follow witchcraft and see if it leads to enlightenment . . .

But I do not have somebody who has enough time to go with me through the bible. Your advice are unrealistic.

Than to find a mentor . . .

You need to fall under the authority of a godly leader. Whether that is a pastor or a mature Christian - anything is better than the 'enlightenment' that God will soon give you over to.

Romans 1:28
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

... eastern religions ...

XD, it is quite understandable why you do not understand. From the title of this board: BaptistBoard.com . Christian DEBATE Forums (All Christians) > Other Christian Denominations, you don't "get it."

Multiple people have suggested that you find a local church, a pastor who will mentor and be a shepherd for your learning, heed the posters who explain how to help doubts -- and you've declined to participate.

Why?

Chakras come from Hinduism and are believed to be wheels of energy going from the bottom of the spine to the top of the head. An energy called Kundalini, coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine (acc. to Hindu beliefs), rises through the chakras. The main ways to get the kundalini to rise are meditation and yoga.

Naturally, these teachings are demonic. It is good to know that but there is no need to get interested in them. Recognize them for what they are -- evil.
