I have absolutely no sense of color coordination.

All I know is that blue and gold go together, (those were my high school colors) and that black and white go with just about anything.

I often ask my wife "does this tie match this shirt, and ect.

So guys, am I the only one :tonofbricks:

please share your stories with me:smilewinkgrin:

I once dated a guy who was color blind. We had a school banquet to attend, and he showed up in a PINK three-piece suit. He thot it was gray...LOL. I sincerely hope it was the last time he bought a suit without some help!

My hubby asks me this all the time, so you're not alone, Salty.

I have heard that it is very common for men to be color blind.

My husband can't tell one color from another either. He is never to be consulted about wall color!

Go to the clergy collar, Salty. No problem with colour coordination.

I don't think men are colour blind, as we are not colour coordinated. I used to do some art work on canvas, and I was really pleased when colour film came out for cameras, so I had the colours in front of me to copy.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I think it's a genetic thing. My grandfather was color blind, and I have a cousin and a nephew that are all color blind. They cannot see red or green, only blue and yellow. It explains a lot...

What's really fun is when one is both color-challenged AND pattern challenged. Then you see an ensemble that resembles a circus clown!

Wear black it goes with anything. They say black is slimming. If I wear a black hat I disappear.

Don't eat spaghetti while wearing a white shirt. Never wear all white unless you work for Michelin.

Does she play the answer a question with a question game?
    "Does this match?"
    "What do you think?"
    "Umm, ahhh, help me, please?

If you have to ask the answer is NO!
No, but you are the only one that has made it public. You spent all those years in the Army wearing fatigues, BDU and ACUs. It all matched. You're just having a period of adjustment.

    Okay! Once upon a time....

I had to chuckle, Salty....we have this discussion every Sunday before we head for church.

My husband has HORRIBLE tastes in clothes-matching. He has finally learned to pick out the shirt and the tie, the pants, and the jacket - and then he asks me if they match....or at least look good together.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. That's my job as his wife - to help him look his best.

I don't know if I'm crafty or just lazy. For over 30 years all my suits were either black or navy [I worked in a funeral home], so I automatically got shirts and ties that would go with both colors.

This was back when funeral directors wore subdued [fancy word for dull] colors in their clothing in order to look professional. This isn't true anymore, now we can dress in just about any color we want as long as it isn't distracting.

drfuss: I don't think most men are color blind; I am not color blind, it is just that I am not interested in color coordination. I can see the different shades in color if I want to, but I have other things to be interested in.

If we are going out, my wife picks out all of my clothes. That way she is happy and so am I.
