Is it Laci ?

I heard about this a few hours ago. Sad and troubling it is. I can't begin to imagine the pain her family and loved ones are experiencing right now. They certainly need to be prayed for.

Maybe by posting this, others will do just that.

 

I have been very sad about this....her baby boy was due a couple of weeks after my Evie...they would've been the same age. Our baby is so precious and loved,how could anyone do this?

I have always thought her husband did it...they probably had a fight and he lost it and killed her...maybe she found out about the affair. Anyway,I wonder if we will ever know the truth.

It just really bothers me.

 

Me to Molly! Symbiosis we should pray for her family and friends. They are going through so much. This has just got to be a heavy toll on them.

How terrible, after searching for months, to have to wait days or weeks wondering if that is Laci.

There are A LOT of unanswered questions.

Is it really her? Was the baby full-term, or preterm? (If it was full-term, then that discounts her husband as a suspect). Are there signs of force or trauma on the remains? Is suicide a possibility? How did the remains get to where they are, and what could explain the time difference? (if the remains had been weighted and dumped in deep water, there would be nearly nothing left after 3 months, due in part to the ebundance of marine scavenging life).

I could go on and on, and I'm sure investigators are asking the same questions. It would in interesting to know what they know.

I think the specialists are saying that if she was pregnant and was killed,the baby would be expelled from her body at a later time...that would explain how they could tell it was a boy. I heard that on Fox news last night.

I believe it is her....how many pregnant women expecting a little boy are missing in California?

He(Scott) is the only one with a motive....

Like SheEagle said,they did find recently made cement in his truck.

I'm not saying he didn't do it. The evidence seems to be at least starting to point there 9at least to us). But I also thought Gary Condit did it. If I learned anything from that, I learned not to be an armchair detective, judge, and jury. I will reserve my judgement until the police at least name Laci's husband a suspect.

 

Yes,you are right...I guess we will see soon enough. I realize it must take a while to make sure it is her. I'm just ready for the family to know somewhat what happened to their family members. I guess the best thing,as others have stated,is to pray for the family. This must be terribly hard to deal with!

Yes it is. It was confirmed yesterday by DNA.

 

And...Scott(the husband) has been arrested. He will be arraigned on Monday and Laci's family will be speaking Monday in a press conference.

 

The coverage here in California is very heavy, as you might suspect. Scott Peterson is the only suspect at this point. The baby and mother are confirmed to be Conner and Laci. The attached umbilical on the baby was confirmation that the body of the mother was still carrying the child at the time of death and that the body of the child was released from the body of the mother during the process of disintegration, thus showing less disintegration itself.

I cannot imagine living with the horror of knowing, for the rest of my life as a parent, that my daughter had been killed when 8 months pregnant.

Maybe Scott did not do it, but where the body was found in relation to where he said he was on December 24, and his actions subsequent to that, made him someone all were suspicious of almost from the start. Yesterday he appeared to be taunting the law enforcement officials who were tailing him on the freeway. This man appears to be seriously disturbed, I think...

 

I know,Helen...Everytime I see his picture on Fox news,I cringe...he looks so guilty.

I hope they(the family) will find out thr truth of what happened. Even so,It will be a lifetime nightmare for them. My heart breaks for them.

And,that unborn son of their's...it is just so sad.

Isn't it strange how California laws say that this is a double homicide,but abortion is not homicide at all....hmmm...doesn't make sense does it. I'm glad they are treating it as a double homicide.

 

Well, it's not good to say someone 'looks' guilty. I'm sure I do a lot of the time, for whatever crime anyone wants to try me for!

But about the double homicide: that is frequent here. If the fetus dies due to a criminal action, it is a homicide. If the fetus dies because the doctor burns or poisons it or pulls it apart and then suctions it out, it is a medical procedure.

Beats me....

 

The whole thing is just awful. I think of my own daughters and I just cry. Poor mother going through all this.

Poor laci; scared, and trying to protect her unborn child. What must have been going through her mind at the time all was happening, just makes me so angry, that someone could do this to another human being.

I just pray God lets the truth come out to the surface.

Well,maybe a poor choice of words on my part....looks as in everything he has done seems to point to guilty...I didn't mean physically in his appearance...His actions look strange,in other words.

Has it been determined that it is her? The last I heard it was going to take some time to complete the tests. I hope it isn't her, I hope she is just missing.

I'm still praying for a happy ending to all of this, it's heartwrenching. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for the family.

At this point I do not think there can ever be a happy ending. A women was laying dead, who just gave birth to a baby. She doesn't have to be Laci...poor thing.

Wisdom Seeker and Helen and Molly and those reading we must say a prayer thanking God our daughters are safe, and just lift this Woman's mother up to the Lord. She must surely be tormented.
