I can't believe my eyes and ears. Do the Democrats ever listen to themselves? It is all over the mainstream news with people like Andrea Mitchell and in newspapers such as the Washington Post that the GOP is on a witch hunt in order to harm Hillary in 2016. Search it yourself. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for such childish, hackneyed clichés in connection with the former First Lady....

Here is what one columnist Eugene Robinson actually wrote:

'Republicans lead a witch hunt on Benghazi

'Those who are trying to make the Benghazi tragedy into a scandal for the Obama administration really ought to decide what story line they want to sell.

'Actually, by “those” I mean Republicans, and by “the Obama administration” I mean Hillary Clinton. The only coherent purpose I can discern in all of this is to sully Clinton’s record as secretary of state in case she runs for president in 2016....'

It is simply politicians, who love to hear themselves talk, trying to get some press and a gather a few political points.

It is a complete waste of tax payer money. There are many more really important issues facing the country that they are avoiding.

CTB, do you think that the Democrat rhetoric about looking for a witch is virtuous and fortuitous? Do you defend the Democrat reference to the Salem witch trials as contemporary and relevant? Or is this a display of a rude, tasteless analogy?

I do not think the Republicans are on a witch hunt because they are not organized enough. That is apparant from their leadership in Congress, and the 2012 elections. Mtich McConnell and the Speaker have the party looking like a Chinese fire drill or a Three Stooges scene. The present leaders are almost Democrat pawns.

IMO, someone like Rand Paul would make the Republicans at least appear different.

The problem with the republicans is there are a lot of republicans who won't support a candidate who they disagree with on a few issues, where the democrats are more likely to support a democrat, no matter a few issues which they might disagree on.

A Republican farts and you raise a stake and gather faggots. Obama defecates on the dinner table and you're there with your fork and spoon.

Come on Aaron. I agree with your premise but the illustrations are way over the top. Surely you could be insulting in a nicer way.

Basically the democrats are saying look over there, what is that? They're scared to death that we'll hear the real story. The Obama administration hired Al Qaeda linked terrorists to guard the embassy then stood by while they killed our people and stole a bunch of heat seeking missles from the compound. Then they lied about it and tried to cover it up.

Colonel Anthony Shafer was all over this 8 months ago. Hillary should be arrested.

Colonel Shaffer is what a real patriot looks and sounds like Spaceboy.

    Waste of taxpayer money ?
Why should efforts to make sure leadership is responsible AND ACCOUNTABLE to the country and citizens they lead be a waste of taxpayer money ?
    I am a taxpayer.
I would rather see my taxes go to answering the questions on WHY four of my countrymen were left to die in a country where one of our closest allies folded up their embassy for the same security concerns that the murdered ambassador Stevens raised, than see my taxpayer money go to paying the healthcare of people who do not want to work, and people who have no right to be in this country.
I would rather have my taxes go to making sure those who lead a major city in my country and therefore have the potential to be national leaders preserve THE RIGHT TO VOTE ONLY TO CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY, than stupidly justify that resident aliens have the same right.
Your prerogatives and perceptions of what is right and wrong have gone to the crabs.

Because the dems covered it up. If this were against the GOP as a cover up crabs would be talking an entirely different talk...guaranteed. And yes, you're correct on his perogatives absolutely.

He's just repeating the DNC talking points. To bad for them the same old tricks are failing them.

You know in the back of my mind I had the niggle of something like this.
Only my thought was (and I had it before I read others also had it) that the attack was supposed to end in the kidnapping of the Ambassador. Only it went horribly wrong.
Obama (In my niggling thought) wanted to be a hero by redeeming the Ambassador only the islamists he thought were his buddies ignored him and did as they pleased with his aid (not sending help) In which case treason charges should be brought. personally treason should be brought anyway for refusing to send aid as requested, weeks before the attack.

Then again I am an odd duck.

Frankly, I don't even want to entertain a notion that this was even a possible train of thought by anyone in our government leadership.

But that's me trying to transpose my own sense of morality on how I think the job should be done.

I don't like entertaining the idea anymore than you but we are dealing with devient sociopaths at the highest level of government. Frankly I think this was a transfer of weapons to Obama's Al Qaeda buddies. The powers that be might have gotten away with this kind of thing 30 years ago but today the corporate media no longer has a strangle hold on all the information like it had back then.

This should leave no doubt in anyone's mind that the "war on terror" is a complete fraud. On one hand the government funds and arms "Al Qaeda" and uses them as proxy fighting forces overseas while on the other it uses "Al Qaeda" as a boogeyman to scare us into accepting and authoritarian government at home.

Of course I say that knowing most of the people here haven't got a mind able to comprehend what's rgoing oni right in front their eyes.

    I totally understand that.
    I have that issue too.
I see something, have a flashing thought of what could happen and think, no they wouldn't, only later to discover they did!

That's because you have empathy towards others. They don't. Sociopaths like Obama and the Clintons are simply incapable of feeling guilt or remorse.

Scum always rises to the top.

The politician you most remind me of is Mitch McConnell.

So in the back of your mind you thought it was maybe a false flag attack? Like operation "fast and furious" was a false flag attack on the second amendment?

I had not labeled it that way but I suppose yes that is how I see it.
The harder they try to get it to go away the more it seems likely.
