Lagardo, I love M. Night Shyamaln's films. I absolutely was enraptured with The Village, even though some of my friends are not huge fans of it.

I sort of half-way figured out plot of the movie when the first "creature" appeared and everyone was scurrying to get underground. I thought to myself, "That's not M.N.S.'s style to be so open and over-the-top with a "creature's" appearance.....hmmm.....and the wheels began to turn in my brain!" Ha!

TaliOrlando, I have not seen The Exorcist and why would I want to? Just the occasional trailer for the movie or use of a clip from the movie in another movie has scared me beyond words. Scared me in a very bad way. I don't like looking at her face or any "clips" from the film that seem to pop up from time to time.

Yeah it was a pretty crazy movie!! I used to own a video store so I watched all types of movies.

Alright, movie genres obviously overlap. What is it a movie must have to be a "horror" movie?... the supernatural? blood? sadism? distorted or overgrown creatures? despair for the world's future? The Bible should have enough of all that for us.

Or, approaching the question from a different angle, which of these popular movies with some of these qualities are "horror movies?"...
The Wizard of Oz?
Sands of Iwo Jima?
Ben-Hur?
The Passion of Christ?
Jaws?
Them!?
The Shootist?
