And Saddam praised Don Rumsfeld and the Bush administration for giving him aid against the Iranians.

Gee... that must mean that the republicans are just like Saddam.

    Doesn't it?

Or is it possible that bad people can sometimes like what good people do?
    Just a thought.

    Wait, I know....

    "That's different!"

If these are former President Carter’s viewpoints, I’d be amazed that it’d surprise anyone. His life after presidency has disappointed many former supporters, especially in the SBC.

I don’t see how this correlates with the claims against the former Bush administration, except that politics make strange bed fellows.

Only if it matches their "bad" agenda.

I think the last paragraph sums it up:

"Thus, no one can accuse him of being anti-Jews : any anti-Semitic. The case is still interact so far in America and the West, but it is likely to escalate and escalate."

    Not really.

Unless he recalls the books in print and re publishes them with his "true" feelings.

He will forever be condemned as anti Jew as long as those books remain in circulation.

Have you read the book or are you just spouting off "love the Jew no matter what they do" nonsense driven by bad eschatology?

Only by those determined to ignore the evidence. But such people would simply find another rationalization.

    Why do you care?

Do I detect a little bit of anti-Jew tone in your post since you know less than nothing about my "eschatology"?

The simple fact is his statements are in a book for everyone to see. If he really wants to correct the problem, he has to recall and republish his book.

Yeah, that is definitely a no! There is not an anti-Jew tone, but I think that they should be held accountable for things they do just like I believe the Palestinians should be held accountable for the things they do. You don't get a pass just because you're a Jew.

There are too many in American Christianity that are not willing to stand up to Jewish leaders and hold them accountable because of some nutty end-times scenario dreamed up in the mid 1800's. Instead they invite their leaders over to speak in their churches and display Israeli flags like this is somehow pleasing to God. And if they do, see Jimmy Carter, they are roasted on an open fire and called Jew haters. Nice...allow inhuman treatment to go unchecked and you're a Jew hater. Don't say anything and you're somehow blessing the seed of Abraham. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!

I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but it is a peace with the Lord that I pray for not some plan to build more houses or fund a stronger military.

I pray for the peace of the non-Jewish Palestinians, but it is peace with the Lord that I pray for, not some piece of land.

How about you...which is more important to you a return to the Temple Mount or for people to find Jesus?
