Ahmad seems to be bent on the destruction of Israel. It seems to be his one and only goal.

Do you believe that Iran will attempt to aid in the destruction of Israel?

If yes, Do you believe that America should come to the aid of Israel?

If yes again, When should we interviene and how?

No, I don't believe that Iran will attempt to aid in the destruction of Israel.

If it is in the strategic interests of the United States, then, yes, we should come to the aid of Israel against anyone.

We support Israel now. Israel could not exist presently without the help of the United States. If need be we can increase the shipment of arms to Israel and increase our intelligence sharing with Israel.

Ahmadinejad holds no real power in Iran. The Grand Ayatollah calls the shots in Iran. Ahmadinejad is simply a loudmouth. If they held fair elections in Iran he wouldn't have won the presidential election.

    I hope you are right.

Would it be in our interest?

If you are wrong and Ahmad does act on his retoric would you support direct involvement (US fighters in the air and troops on the ground involvemnet)

I bet Ahmad says what the Ayatollah tells him to say.

Ahmadinejad can't act on his rhetoric. It's not the way the Iranian government is set up.

At this time I would not support the use of U.S. combat personnel in your hypothetical scenario.

    Yes.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Don't know how it will work out or the timeframe, but we will join with Israel (and so will the UK) to defend her at some point in time.

Those of us who believe in a literal interpretation of End-Time Prophecy have a different world view than Ken and the others who don't believe in a literal interpretation. So, I'm answering for my side of the camp.

I agree with Ken and disagree with you about the end-times, but I agree with you and disagree with Ken about the need to help Israel if Iran should attack.

They are probably the only country in the middle east which does not call for our destruction, officially or not.

Right now, Israel is a buffer between us and the Muslim states. If there was to be an actual major attack, Israel would be the first hit. That would give us warning. If, however, Israel is taken out by Iran, we would have no more buffer.

I don't believe we should be sending them as much money as we are, but I do believe we should come to their defense, should they need our help, if they are invaded by Iran. I believe that is in our best interest.

Would any of you consider a pre-emptive strike.

Lets say over the next couple years Iran is days away from having a nuke. They also continue with their retoric against Israel and they seem to be moving military forces. Would you consider a pre-emptive conventional war to prevent a possable nuclear war?

Oh yes, surgical, but decisively, destroying their nuke capability for a generation. But it's not too likely that we will. It is estimated that we or Israel would need to attack at least 160 different sites to make it thorough.

160 sights seems doable considering our air power.

Wait two years and the Democrats can take the blame for
the Iranian war. Strange how we let the Middle East determine
    our US politics.

One world united in dread of Nuclear War :1_grouphug:

Remember even a small nuclear war on the opposite side
of the world can cause millions of permature deaths
    in the USofA.

So the best strategy for the USofA is to establish
ultra secure air bases in Iraq RIGHT NOW.

P.S. the Hesbala is an Iranian financed front.
The Hesbala is now trying to replace Syria as
    the owner of Lebanon.

Don't you never doubt it but Israel is loaded with the enough nuclear weapons to erase Iran off the map and before they would be destroyed themselves they would use then in a heart beat.
