It is so sad to read about atrocities on either side of this conflict.

    A few points here:

    1. It is sad whenever something like this happens regardless of who did it.

    HOWEVER...

    2. What evidence is there that this was done by Israeli police?

    AND...

    3. If it is determined that the speculation in the above article is true, it is much more likely that those responsible for this crime will be held responsible by the Israeli justice system regardless of who it is, which destroys the moral equivalency theory between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

I find the article highly questionable. It is the Palestinians who have a record of using mules.

It is sad when one's religion has one believing that they have to kill in order to gain entrance into heaven. Hatred is not of God, it is of the devil.

That story is questionable--I checked out that link Ken posted and yours--and did a search on Google too. Amazing what you can come up with when you dig deeper.

Check out the link I just posted.

Looks like a criminal investigation is probably in order. The police official's theory sounds trite and suspicious. In the end, minus an eyewitness, or forenzic evidence, it will probably be difficult to determine exactly what happened. If the border police did this, they should face justice and pay restitution to the family.

    Thanks, Linda.

So, never having owned a donkey/mule or whatever, do they startle at loud noises, snakes, and are they manageable in unforseen situations? Could this be an accident?

Looks to me like the Israeli Police are condemned if they do and condemned if they don't. They will still be blamed by some, even if they forced the man to get into the police vehicle and leave the donkey behind. Either way, the Israeli Police lose, don't they?

I didn't say I condemned them. I said there should be an independent criminal investigation and the spokesman sounds like he is probably not telling the truth when he says:

That doesn't sound like a logical explanation to me considering the context of the story. Maybe it is absolutely right, maybe it isn't. Do an investigation and let's find out what we can.

I thought that was an interesting article. I agree, the Israeli Police will lose either way.

It sure is, but I can rely on your articles to be against the United States or Israel. Don't bother waiting to get some confirmation, as you'll lose political capital.

Well, you better give it up Ken. Hillclimber has figured out your scheme. He knows that you are actually "against the United States" and that you secretly long for its destruction.

    As Snidley Whiplash would say:

    "Oh, curses, foiled again!"
